New Year Belated Christmas Greetings/ part one
Belated Christmas Greetings and A Blessed New Year!!!Looking back over the past month I have to admit that we were very busy yet blessed in the month of December.It was nice to have all of our kids at home for Christmas and to have the beginning of the expansion of our family as Son#1 asked his girlfriend, highschool sweetheart, to marry him. We couldn't be more pleased with his choice as she is a fine Christian young lady. And yet it seems like just yesterday that I was talking to him about courting/dating after he had viewed a television special that was focusing on the new trend in"courting". I remember that he said something to me about us(his parents) having a say in him picking out his mate to be. I just told him we would advise him but that he needed to make this life long desicion. Of course he was in 7th grade when this conversation was going on. Then when one considers all the details of this marriage to be, you cannot overlook how the Lords hand was in it's consception. If the Lord had not directed us to move to Connecticut our son would never have met this young woman. I think it could be said that his finding his life's mate was something that put our family through a great deal of pain and growth. I guess we could chuckle and say,"You owe us big time,Sonny Boy!" Yet in considering all that is invovled in our lives in walking with the Lord, there is the big picture that entwines not just one life but many to make the fabric of all that had occurred in that four year space of time. There was the realitor and the neighbors and co-workers that were witnessed to and the friends and family in Christ that we wll not forget. Yes, strong fabric that is entwined in many lives.
